Introduction to The Artist’s Way

You’ve probably seen this book in a bookstore, the home of a creative friend, or even on your own shelf. For decades, The Artist’s Way has been a go-to text for anyone curious about reconnecting with creativity in a meaningful way. Framed as a twelve-week creative recovery, it’s also a book many people struggle to finish alone. This introduction is a way to understand what you’re getting into—and to connect with like-minded folks who can support you along the way.

What to Expect
I’ll share an overview of what the book asks of us over twelve weeks, how to prepare practically and emotionally, and what tends to arise along the way. This gathering is meant to serve as a kickoff for your own creative exploration, offering clarity, grounding, and momentum to begin. There will be time for questions and space to connect with others.

Meeting Others
Toward the end of the event, we’ll have the opportunity to connect in small groups based on artistic mediums and creative orientations. There will also be a chance to begin forming small cohorts to move through The Artist’s Way together. Connection is optional but available—you’re welcome to participate at your own pace and depth.

About Elliott
